Hundreds of FedEx Express World Hub employees in Memphis will see another temporary pay increase as the company competes for local hires. FedEx Express is bumping up its pay an additional $2 an hour for some hourly hub employees via a “Pay Premium" program. Effective April 11, the premium applies to hundreds of employees working in the hub's nightside operations, said Shannon Brown, FedEx Express senior vice president of eastern division U.S. operations and chief diversity officer. The premium will introduce starting pay ranging from $17 to $20 an hour for these employees. FedEx has not yet set an end date for the premium.
