Feds take over deadly mob-beating case : vimarsana.com

NORFOLK Xavier Davis, an 18-year-old man who was one of 11 people accused in the 2007 gang-related mob beating death of a man in East Ocean View, will be prosecuted in federal court, a Norfolk prosecutor said Friday. Prosecutor Jim Entas asked a Circuit Court judge to withdraw the state charges against Davis, saying the U.S. attorney's office has taken on the case.
