Last year also saw the lowest number of marital dissolutions since 2006. The pandemic, including measures taken during the "circuit breaker" period, "may have contributed" to fewer divorces being filed, the department added. Advertisement MARRIAGES A total of 22,651 marriages were registered last year, down 10.9 per cent from 2019, when 25,434 marriages were registered.
