Representatives from Randall High School’s Key Club and Xcel Energy recently came together to provide food for their neighbors in Canyon. Masked members of both organizations stood in a sort of assembly line, picking up donated food items from boxes to fill their individual Hope-Tote bags. Through their combined efforts, as well as efforts from other volunteers throughout the day, more than 1,200 bags will be distributed Friday to children in need within the Canyon Independent School District. The overall goal is to not just feed these students, who may not have access to food over the weekend. It is to give them hope.
