(Courtesy photo) SUISUN CITY — Thirty parcels that were not abated for weeds by May 1 now have a $100 fine and a May 15 deadline to comply. After that, fines increase to $500 for a second citation and jump to $1,000 a day after that. Additionally, the Fire Department will work to have the properties abated and go after the parcel owner for cost recovery. The Fire Department issued courtesy weed abatement notifications in April to 72 vacant parcels in the city.
