Two outbuildings at the Naked Baker caught fire on Friday afternoon.
A popular beachside bakery in the Christchurch suburb of New Brighton will miss out on the long weekend business boom, after two outbuildings caught fire.
Fire and Emergency was called to the Naked Baker, on Beach Rd, around 12.40 on Friday.
A spokesman said the fire was well-involved by the time crews arrived, but they were able to safely extinguish the flames before they spread to the main building.
On its Facebook page, staff said the air conditioning unit in their office caught fire.
They said the café will be closed for a few days, but they will have an espresso van operating outside.
