A fire burning about an hour and a half west of Kenora in Manitoba is now considered out of control.
The blaze broke out near Woodridge on Saturday and has grown to about 800 hectares in size.
Manitoba Wildfire Service crews and water bombers are working with local resources to extinguish the fire.
The Municipality of Piney says a State of Emergency has been declared because of the wildfire.
Meanwhile, because of dry conditions, burning permits are being suspended across southeastern Manitoba all the way to the Ontario/Manitoba border.
