Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Edappadi Palaniswami, has urged the state government to ensure the proper implementation of safety measures in firecracker manufacturing factories and shops. This comes after recent incidents of explosions in Ariyalur and Hosur. Palaniswami also requested an increase in the ex-gratia amount for those affected by the explosions.
