(WSFA) - An investigation into the cause of a fire that forced the evacuation of a Montgomery Walmart store is underway. Firefighters responded to the Walmart Supercenter on Atlanta Highway shortly after 5:30 Monday night and quickly found the blaze. Montgomery Fire/Rescue is on the scene of a fire at the Walmart on Atlanta Highway. (Source: WSFA 12 News viewer) Montgomery Fire/Rescue said the building’s sprinkler system prevented it from spreading, and units ultimately extinguished it and removed the smoke that had drifted throughout the store.
