First and foremost, the biggest change you’ll notice after launching Firefox 89 is the revamped UI, which Mozilla says it has specifically been redesigned “to be cleaner, more inviting, and easier to use.” This modern refresh includes a simplified browser chrome and toolbar, clear menus with removed iconography, updated prompts for infobars, panels, and modals, as well as a new tab design. “Floating tabs neatly contain information and surface cues when you need them, like visual indicators for audio controls. The rounded design of the active tab supports focus and signals the ability to easily move the tab as needed,” Mozilla says.
