Pune: First round of vaccination for HCWs to end next month
Pune: Health officials yesterday said that they will be able to complete providing the first dose of Covid vaccine to all 1.13 lakh registered healthcare staff in the city by the end of March.
Going by the current pace of the vaccination, officials would be able to finish giving the first dose to all registered healthcare workers by March-end. Ashish Bharati, chief of PMC’s health department told the Times of India, “We plan to add at least four more hospitals from Monday. We are doing our best to vaccinate a large number of healthcare workers. But we cannot force people to turn up. There are still a lot of people who are on wait-and-watch mode.”
