First cruise to sail out of US will leave from Port of Palm Beach


RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
A step forward to cruises setting sail once again, which has taken a huge hit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Port of Palm Beach is scheduled to lead the nation in resuming cruises, planned for July 2.
Bahamas Paradise Cruise line will resume sailing from the Port of Palm Beach for Freeport.
The past year has been incredibly challenging for the cruise industry and Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line was no exception. The ship "Grand Classica" is docked in Freeport, but is expected to arrive here any day now.
The company is
working with the CDC to ensure the safety protocols they plan to enforce so July 2 will be a safe yet fun experience for travelers.
