View Comments Montgomery police welcomed four new officers to their ranks after 15 weeks of academy training and a graduation ceremony at City Hall. "Never underestimate your ability to be a blessing to your community," Judge Milton Westry said immediately after administering the officers their oaths. The "Fantastic Four" as Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed called them, were joined by their friends and family for a 30-minute ceremony, Police Chief Ernest Finley said he was confident the new officers had hearts for service. "They're not only about service, but also about educating themselves," he said. "I think they're going to be an asset to us and this community."
