Flash Flood Watch now in effect for SVG Social Share A flash flood watch is now in effect for St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and will remain in effect until 12 pm, Sunday, May 9, 2021. The St Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services said in a release issued at 6 pm on Thursday, May 6 that unstable conditions interacting with a favorable mid to upper-level environment are expected to gradually enhance shower activity across the Eastern Caribbean during the next 48 hours. “Consequently, occasional light to moderate showers across SVG, are likely to increase in frequency overnight into Friday then generating heavy showers, gusty winds and thunderstorm activity by Saturday into Sunday.
