A man opened fire yesterday on f. B. I. Agents attempting to serve a child pornography warrant. After he spotted them on his security camera, killing two of them, wounding more. The bureau identified those agents as 43yearold Laura Schwartzenberger and we do not yet have the photograph of 36yearold david alfin who also was killed. Three other agents wounded. The cases by the way, are hooking down. These are all very positive signs for the economy. Capitol Police Lining what will be the motorcade to Arlington National cemetery. There is a line of lighter blue Police Officers you see here on their Mountain Bikes. Officer Brian Sicknick was part of the First Responders Mountain Bike unit. They will follow the motorcade all the way slowly to arlington across the memorial bridge. Now officer sicknick, as we watch this happen, obviously is as weve learned the Fifth American to lie in honor here in the rotunda, in the capitol rotunda. The third member of the u. S. Capitol police to do so. In 1998 officer Jacob Chestnut and detective john gibson were killed at a House Checkpoint on the east front of the capitol. Lying in honor we should point out similar to lying in state. It looks very much the same, although it is one protocol lower status reserved for former president s and members of congress as was the case with the late john lewis this past summer. The other two americans to lie in Honor Were Civil Rights Icon rosa parks and reverend billy graham. Inside an hour ago we saw Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer talked about blessed are the peacemakers and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Making A Promise to officer sicknicks family to carry him and his memory in her heart. She walks every day going into the House Chamber past a plaque honoring chestnut and gibson. What well see now, though, is steeped in high tradition as urn comes down the steps, harris. Earlier today, Minority Leader Mitch Mcconnell said this about the man who was lying in honor inside the dome and now leaving to go to his final Resting Place. Senator mcconnell said that he recognized him here at the institution he died defending. The senate and the entire country send our deepest condolences to officer sicknicks family and all who loved him. His name will never be forgotten. Of course, as i cemetery there in that hearse. They brought him out in an urn. He was cremated. They have that beautiful flag to put with him. The initial export is not a motorcade of cars. The initial escort for those First Responder Mountain Bike Force Members who rode with sicknick as part of their duties to defend the u. S. Capitol building. They will lead the procession, as he makes his way to Arlington National cemetery. We are watching that now. Weve heard Amazing Grace being played. As we watch this, we just want to remind everyone of what happened on january 6th, in particular, as it pertains to officer sicknick. He was brutally attacked and did not survive his injuries from that day. And so this is part of remembering what happened in the insurrection on january 6th. Remembering someone who did his best to defend those inside that building and to fend off from those who would do harm outside and some of those members of the crowd were able to reach him and attack him. You saw his family coming down the stairs there. Now you can see some of the members of congress. You see Speaker Of The House nancy pelosi there. You see senator mitch mcconnell, whom i just mentioned, Minority Leader in the house, Kevin Mccarthy, so on, so forth.
