Team trump says the near constant questions they have been fielding, unscripted on the campaign trail, that is the best practice possible. The bar for Kamala Harris has been raised. All the pressure is on her because Donald Trump has conducted north of 35 interviews since she has been the De Facto nominee, and she has conducted exactly one. Former President Trump has also sought help from allies like former congresswoman and former Democrat Tulsi gabbard he faced off against terrace and the 2020 primary process. She is not to be underestimated, because she is talented on the Debate Stage. Theres no question about that. But shes going to have a tough time trying to defend this record that, quite frankly, from the view of the american people, is indefensible. For the Debate Prep the Harris Campaign went more of a traditional route, walking through talking points, stage dynamics, and intensive multiday training in pittsburgh Doing Mock Debates which featured a trump standin. When she is preparing for her debate, she wants to try to ensure that she understands the kind of things that the former president may say, the proposals hes going to outline, the attacks that he may try to land. The Harris Campaign expects, maybe even hopes that trump will go low and some of his talking points, make a couple jabs. The Trump Campaign says they will only go low when it comes to the issues. We are glad she came on. She runs the finance for the Harris Campaign and Shes Part of that program. She was defending harris enter economic policies, and i did challenge her on this Opportunity Economy that she described and we have heard Kamala Harris describe on your website and beyond. She talked about how priority for harris is to bring down prices. But we havent heard her acknowledge how we got here. Those prices ran up, and until you acknowledge how we got here, how do you promise voters are going to fix it . Its a simple question. I dont understand, because her economic speech, which i think was more important than her dnc convention speech, she would spend another 2 Trillion on top of the 2 Trillion deficit as far as the eye can see. And as far as i can gather, her solution to prices is Price Controls. She says Price Controls on groceries are bad enough. The margins are tiny. Those are not the causes of inflation. The cause of inflation is too much spending and then too much moneyprinting. Ive never heard her ever talk about a spending cut, and this business about housing, shes going to port 25,000 per house or per sale or per application. Sandra is not going to push prices higher . Raising prices across the board, and the rest of it is that she is taking Jill Bidens policies, the Source Code still on the campaign website, and i think youre going to get more of the same. Watch this exchange. Who is better for small businesses . We dont pick in president ial candidates, so youre not taking a side. With these businesses benefit from higher or lower taxes . Certainly businesses benefit from lower taxes, less regulation, lower tariffs and more certainty in government policy. Sandra he made political statement that would indicate they were more supportive of harris policies, but when asked how businesses thrive, lower taxes are higher, less regulation or more regulation, he answers the same No Matter what political affiliation. I think that is right. By The Way, some democratic economists have been very critical of Kamala Harris plan, particularly the Price Controls. If you raise Tax Rates on large and small companies, youre going to get less production, and less production of goods means prices are going to go higher. That is the flaw. He walked through a tremendous platform, lower Tax Rates across the board, deregulation across the board, spending cuts across the board. This is very important. Im just going to say that the green new deal and the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act is in effect as close as they can get to a ban on fracking, and pipelining. All these will raise energy costs. What happens when you put tariffs on goods and you stop immigration and forced migrants to leave, in terms of wages . Kind of against it. Isnt it going to be inflationary . Of course. Is at one time . When you see tariffs like that, you obviously think about 19291932, or you see maybe trump saw the show, the show is pretty good, saw it twice. Sandra it sounds like hes making the case that trump policies will lead to even higher prices. Your reaction . Hes a very smart guy and hes a friend of mine. This has nothing to do with 1929. Let me put it to you this way. Unfair Trading Practices have to be curved. Very important point, number one. If you curb unfair Trading Practices, youre going to have more domestic production. Its the supplyside effect. And mr. Trump is saying, if you produced domestically, we will give you a 15 tax rate. That is a tremendous advantage. Kamala harris is going to raise the tax rate. The second point, very important on tariffs. Consumers will boycott higher prices. If you put a modest tariff on this is what we do with china, where there is no inflation, by The Way. The burden will fall on china or whoever the unfair Trading Partner is. They will not be able to sell their goods to the united states. Sandra i got it. So what will they deal . They will cut and Profit Margins and the goods will actually be cheaper, not more expensive. Inflation could be a problem if you blow up spending and you blow up the money supply, but trump is arguing exactly the reverse. He is creating tax, regulatory, energy, and Trading Incentives for american companies to produce more. More production leads to lower prices and s fast economic grow. You may remember his policy forced Nursing Homes to take in covid patients. A Committee Memo claims his administration then tried to downplay deaths related to that decision. The committee released its preliminary findings into its investigation into Cuomos Response to the pandemic in new York Nursing homes and found that cuomo was ultimately responsible for that controversial March 25th, 2020 directive that forced Nursing Homes to readmit covid19positive patients. The Report Concluding that directives unjustifiably exposed vulnerable Nursing Home populations to covid19. The report found that cuomo personally ordered, reviewed, and edited a July 2020 New York Health Department Report to ensure that it blamed covid19 deaths on Nursing Home staff infections and not on his offices March 25th directive. Finally, the report says his office downplay the Nursing Home Covid Crisis by purposefully hiding the true Nursing Home Covid19 Death Rate by excluding out a facility deaths. Writing, Andrew Cuomo owes answers to the 15,000 families who lost Loved Ones in new York Nursing homes during the covid19 pandemic. Cuomo denies issuing the March 25th directives and denies editing the July 2020 state health report. He instead blames former President Trump. He then moved to a Mobile Home in aberdeen, maryland, where kayla was killed. He was then placed in Foster Care as police awaited Dna Results. He was enrolled in a local High School and then he was arrested after the Dna Results came back. He pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 70 years in jail. Where do you even begin to pull back the layers of how dhs failed you and your daughter . There are so many layers and so many failures in her case from start to finish. Child protective services did not let the aberdeen Police Department know that they put him in a secure childrens home. They did not let the police know that they moved him from the Group Home to a foster home and enrolled him in High School with other children. John and what do you want to hear in Tonights Debate about this so very important Border Issues . I want to hear about the changes theyre going to make, how they are going to have american Citizens Safety first. We are not being put first. Our safety is at risk, and i want changes and i want answers, and accountability. John The Way the hearing unfolded today, there was one moment that was really quite surprising. John what do you say to members of congress to look at what happened today and look at you trying to get some sort of change, going through this horror again and again, and they claim youre being politically exploited . Every time i come up here to congress, the democrat always brings up that it is a political stunt, that we are just being brought here to be exploited, and nobody is forcing any of us to be here. They are not forcing me to be here. I want to be here because i want to bring awareness on what is happening, and i want change. I am doing this for kayla and for others living here in the united states. What did the Text Message say . According to the affidavit in this case, the suspected shooter texted a woman less than 30 minutes before the attack. Im going to kill a lot of people. Well, at least try. He then goes on to text, then ill kill myself afterwards. The police think he is still out there and they are urging the community to stay inside, but still be conscious even if you are home. If you are at home, dont be alone. Always have your cell phone. Have a phone with you. Check on your neighbors. Law enforcement is in their fourth day of the search for couch. Theres now a 35,000 combined reward for any information leading to his arrest. I think her thoughts are completely understandable, and i think perhaps the campaign would like to roll out somebody who has you know, who is very popular in the country and has kind of a reputation for being above it all in terms of the roughandtumble politics. Maybe she can reach people who might be unreachable by former President Trump or other people associated with the campaign. And there is a lot of questions about the Security Failures here, which seem to have been catastrophic from soup to nuts. So i think all people who are of wellmeaning people would like to get answers about what happened. John so it is fair that she is putting that out there, to say the least. Legally there are still a lot of questions. Obviously strategically for the Secret Service to be able to secure a former president in a better way. These are all reasonable questions that people still have, andy. Yeah, and i think, sandra, the undertone is that Melania Trump and the Trump Family are also protected by the Secret Service, or supposed to be. So its not just that the former president is under threat. Its not just him, its his family. Sandra finally, i want to ask you about the kohberger trial, the killing set of idaho. They have granted the motion to move his quadruple Murder Trial out of the county in idaho where this happened, where the murders happened in the College Town of moscow. The Judge Order was unsealed yesterday. What do you make of this move . Obviously this is upsetting the family and they are calling it an credibly disappointing, the ruling granting the change of venue. The only good about this decision they say will be the judges last decision in this case. They always felt the judge favored the defense, which is just crazy for anyone seeing this. And it was a common theme that, whatever the defense wanted or needed, they got. Its an incredible response from the family. You can understand how emotionally invested they are in this, obviously. On the other hand, to try to be fair to the judge, we are talking about a quadruple homicide, which is a Death Penalty case, and La The County has about 40,000 people. It is such a small place that almost everybody, or at least many people, will have some connection to someone who is associated with the trial, and it is just a fact that Appellate Courts dont like the Death Penalty and look for reasons to reverse it if a jury votes for it. In one of the reasons could be they are worried about prejudicial publicity. So in the long run this could be a good ruling in terms of getting the result the prosecutors are asking for. But its very frustrating for the Family Members, obviously, and as someone who has tried a lot of cases, some of which were highprofile cases, i always think the important thing is to get jurors not you are ignorant of the facts, or who have been insulated from press coverage, but you can convince the court that they can be fair and objective in evaluating the evidence they hear in the courtroom.
