And so this is somebody that i know will find ways to get things done. Any issue in the united states weather its immigration or jobs or investment in education, has to come through negotiation. And she is somebody that is going to make sure that we as a country stop this awful, really toxic kind of tribalism and get back to the middle and govern in a way where we can bring people together to bring things as a country. Martha so is she going to explain tonight she said on this matter is that her values have not changed. But clearly, take on the issues has changed very dramatically. Should not saying shes for the Border Bell which includes finishing the Border Wall. Is she for finishing the Border Wall . Well ill tell you what, that bipartisan coalition that came together from the most conservative senator, Senator Lankford got all the two abuse states democrat in Chris Murphy was a compromise that wouldve been across the Finish Line if it wasnt stop by Donald Trump for overtly political reasons. Until now max and when i heard Nikki Haley announced her candidacy, i had chills and i just knew i needed to get involved. So i was heavily involved 100 volunteer behind Nikki Haley and i stand here today and believe that it certainly is a missed opportunity. But i had a lot of experience working with the local gop and what i learned from that is i would rather not be loyal to a party that i felt was obsessively loyal to an individual. And i felt that they werent being loyal to the party and to the platform, so i changed my affiliation. I am unaffiliated. And i am voting independent in this election. What are you hoping to hear tonight and do you think that it will influence you in terms of your move having been a Haley Supporter . Well if the president does well, and he doesnt attack Kamala Harris with gender and racial ridicule, if he ask intelligent and President Ial that i think that is what we need. The need to Focus On public policy, not these personal attacks. Theyre not helping. There driving women away. Already she had a double Digit Lead with women. When republicans win, there when women. One that he needs to go out and ask her about of conservative and moderate republicans suburban women have independence, conservative democrats. This is going to be a tight election. And we maybe might not like the person, lets look at republican policies. But i cant get through that. I cant get on board with that quite yet. Have a real difficult time with his rhetoric and the way that he speaks, especially how he talks to women and that is holding you back from being all in on trump. Martha well from, you know, i guess Vice President martha you because your a republican who was supporting haley so what would you want to hear from former President Trump . The american people want to hear about public policy. Ago want to hear these personal attacks. And as far as Mr Trump goes back this presidency is about him.
