Like this when a crisis hits, when our fellow citizens cry out in need, none of that matters. We are not talking about politics now. We have to get together and get this solved. We need a lot of help. We look out for one another and we pulled together and we pitch in and we persevere and we pull it through. That is the american spirit. That is what made america originally great and that is why today i have come to valdosta with large semi trucks, many of them, filled with Relief Aid and a Tanker Truck full of gasoline. We have a couple of the big Tanker Trucks filled with gasoline which they cant get now. We will be working to distributed throughout the day. I want to thank Franklin Graham and everyone. You people are fantastic. And people appreciate you very much. [applause] for the incredible Partnering And Work thAt They have done not only here but all the time. They seem to be the first ones at areas that need help. A short time ago i received a briefing on the situation here and valdosta from fema and the National Guard as well as state and local officials. Its amazing The Way it has all been pulled together. Really amazing. We want to thank Mayor Scott jaynes donna james. Where is scott . Hey scott. Really great job. I want to thank Lieutenant Governor Bert jones and agricultural Commissioner Tyler Harper presented as as i said before Austin Scott and Mike Collins and all of the others. I also want to thank governor Brian Kemp whos working roundtheclock to get this problem solved. He is working hard roundtheclock. We also have a salute to the incredible First Responders, Law Enforcement heroes, and they are heroes. Doctors, nurses, firefighters, coast guard, National Guard who have been serving with such extraordinary grace and the work is incredible. No one thought they would see something like this. You are truly the best of america and you are appreciated by americans but sometimes you dont feel that way, but you are very much appreciated by america. I know each and every one of you is giving to the community. Youre doing things that you wouldnt normally think of going. People on the ground are doing the best they can and every challenging circumstances. We do need some help from the federal government. They have to get together ideally with the governor. The governor needs to shes been trying to get them and they will come through hes been calling the President And Havent been able to get him. But they will come through im sure. Georgia and North Carolina need help the most of all but theyve really been hit. They have really been hit. They say nobody has seen anything like that at all. Every part of these communities has been affected by this brutal storm and countless farmers. The farmers have been affected very, very badly. Very, very sleepy and i will those farmers and will take care of the farmers. With no question about it. Their crops and their livelihoods have been so badly affected. Swift action needed to get the Farmers Loans and Disaster Recovery to get them back to get on their feet so they can help our nation prosper. I always support our great farmers and agricultural communities. Help will soon be on its way. There is question about that. With the path to full and complete recovery, we will work very hard. It wont be easy because this one is so bad that we know in our hearts, god is with us. God is strongly with us. And the american people are stronger than any challenge that stands in their way. We have a lot of challenges in this country. More than we should have. But the american people are very strong and very smart. Working together we will overcome the hardships and we will rebuild valdosta and every other town that has been so badly hit and we will emerge stronger and more united and more prosperous. You will learn a lot from it. We pray for those who have been so badly injured and the people that are no longer with us. God bless Everybody And Franklin i want to thank you very much for you being here so quickly. Very, very quickly. Hes always very early and franklin maybe i could ask you to see a few words. Franklin graham, thank you. [applause] thank you mr. President. This building behind us represents hundreds of thousands of people that have lost homes, businesses, friends, loved ones. And its going to take an army of volunteers and people to respond and we want to respond always in jesus name. And we want people to know that god loves them, god cares for them. Sometimes when a storm like this comes, people think maybe god is mad at us. Maybe this is his judgment. No. God loves a spirit how do i know that . Because the bible tells us that god loves us and cares for us and yes there are storms in Life But God will take us through those storms if we put our Faith And Trust in his son Jesus Christ thank you mr. President r coming and putting a spotlight on the city and the state and this region that has lost so much. Thank you and may God Bless you, mr. President. [applause] i have been asked if i would lead in a prayer. Our father and our god we come today to say thank you for these Men And Women who have come here as volunteers. Thank you for the president who has taken time to come and see it for himself. To shake hands, to encourage, to smile in the faces of people that have been hurt and devastated in the storm. Father, we ask for help. We pray that as we come to this election, that you are will be done and so father, we pray for the president , strengthen him, protect him. Father, we thank you and in jesus name, we pray this prayer. Amen. [applause] john the reverend Franklin Graham there with a prayer for the folks there and valdosta, georgia. As well as the rest of georgia and North Carolina, tennessee, virginia. Anybody who is having severe difficulty in the wake of this terrible, terrible storm that came through. He has his own problems as i was mentioning at home up and Blowing Rock which is near boone. That is where Samaritans Purse is headquarters. I think he lives up there still. I went to visit him and his home and Blowing Rock many, many years ago. But that area of North Carolina has been devastated as well. So many people feeling such hardship these days and im sure they appreciate the former president coming down there to give them a little boost and say he would be there for them should he become elected. Sandra in an effort to keep the morale up and keep the strength because they will need it in the coming hours and days. A moment of prayer, a Moment Of Silence led by the former president. An important moment for so many who are struggling right now and we are thinking about them because this is rough. Some of the hardesthit areas. It is unimaginable how hard they have been hit and whAt They are dealing with today. North carolina National Guard, we got an update from major monica ebert. You hear chance of usa on the ground in georgia as the former president shakes hands with officials on the ground. We got these images of the North Carolina interNational Guard hauling in over 100,000 pounds we are told of supplies from the federal Emergency Management agency, fema. In a c17 to western North Carolina. You destroyed the former president acknowledge just how badly North Carolina has been hit. You heard Governor Desantis in florida say we have it bad . They have it worse. This is all part of the helene Support Effort and they are getting badly needed supplies there. John and it cant come fast enough for those folks there on the ground. But they Need To get the power back as well. Its interesting to see despite the criticism that he gets from his white house, Elon Musk stepping in with his starlike digital service to get communications going. We will see if we can listen in here. John of the Camera Mics just arent close enough to pick up what is being said. Looks like they dont have a specific microphone on the president but again, Elon Musk stepping in with his startling Satellite Service to get things up and running and get people reconnected as they Need To be. Sandra when you talk about the area they are in right now, think about all of those super isolated areas in the hardest Hit Places and how challenging it is with no communication. People who desperately need water and food. That is happening right now so this is a serious effort as the mayor that we just spoke to in North Carolina said this is still a dire situation. They are still trying to reach people who so desperately need help. John you have so many areas and that North Carolina mountains that have spotty Cell Service at best and now there is nothing. Ive heard that At T has a Cell Service in the Asheville Area back up and running. But there is about 1,000 people who are unaccounted for. Probably just because they were trapped in the area in which they live, fallen trees and whatnot and they cant get out and they Cant Contact Anybody because they dont have any comes. We will see in the next days how many of those people did in fact survive. Lets hope thAt The Death Toll does not increase substantially for where it stands already. Sandra the next update we should be getting with the governor from North Carolina, Roy Cooper is set to deliver a News Conference as well. We should be getting an update on those areas and how they are hopefully getting the much needed resources to them. When that happens, we will bring thAt To you live as a former president makes his way out of a very packed valdosta, georgia. Meanwhile we begin with Fox Weathers Chi Anna Lewis in the historic Bellmore Village back to asheville, North Carolina. What are you seeing and hearing there . This is an area thAt Typically would be bustling with tourists. Its a beloved Tourist Destination and unfortunately it is quite the opposite. This is been here since the 1800s but it has been an area that has hit the hardest when it came to helenes impact. This is 15 feet up into the tree. You will notice there is a chair. That is an indication of how high that floodwater got as we went through the impacts of helene and as it moved inland across western portions of North Carolina. We will pivot across The Street here. This is a brewery company. An area where a lot of tourists come and check out very cool momandpop shops as well as restaurants. Notice the garage there is pushed inward. An indication of how that was so powerful and so forceful as it came through baltimore. You will notice that we have a shop here. A very popular shop. This is the Lilly Pulitzer shop. If you look At The sign there, you will notice there is a darker shading of brown. That is how high some of the water got. Theres estimates of up to 15 nearly 20 feet. The water came rushing in, covering the windows, covering doorways. First floors of the structures were damaged the most. You will notice the historic sign that enters in the village here, beyond that, as far as the eye can see there is damage and destruction. A lot of debris littered across The Street here. A lot of mud that needs to be cleaned up and this is an improvement from a mere 72 hours ago. We had Mud Covering The Street. Crews have been working around the clock to clean up the area and get Cell Service as well as even the service so that folks here are able to connect with the world. Thats what ive been hearing from residents. They have not been able to get in touch with anyone. We are hearing from daughters who have not talked to their parents good mothers who have not talked to their children. Its a very scary and sad situation thAt This is only the Beginning Stage where we start to pick up pieces here from helene in asheville, North Carolina. Sandra thank you for the update there. Just incredible the scene after scene coming from the ground there. Our best to all of those in those communities that are in need of help. Thank you very much. John the North Carolina National Guard is heavily involved in the Relief Recovery for the state. Brigadier general Wes Morrison joins us now for more on this. Thank you so much for being with us. Sandra was pointing out a moment ago that a c17 full of supplies run by the National Guard, and i dont know if that is the national or if thats the State Organization delivering 100,000 pounds of supplies to folks out there in the western part of the state. That is the North Carolina air National Guard. It is our own 145th C17 and they flew that in, that 100,000 pounds about two hours ago. That is in addition to 97,295 pounds that we have been flying in by helicopter since saturday. John how great is the Ne Need . We are still discovering how greAt The need is. You have laid out how hard the communications have been but one of the greAt Things that we have is our National Guardsmen are embedded At The local level working with the local First Responders and Emergency Management. North carolina Emergency Management with folks who know the terrain, they know the needs and those needs are passed back up. We are doing Search And Rescue along with Commodity Delivery like Food And Water. As communication is restored and we have met gotten into some of those Hardhit Areas, we are still discovering Need To. John the devastation there in places like asheville and surrounding areas has been described as biblical. You had 3 feet of water that fell in a matter of hours. I have not been able to witness myself but i am a graduate of Unc Asheville and ive heard local folks when i was in school there talk about the flood of 1916. There is nothing to compare it to. Im a veteran of numerous hurricanes here in the eastern part of the state and i can tell you the devastation i have seen is incomparable. It really is devastating and our hearts go out to all of our fellow citizens of North Carolina that have been affected by this. Spoon you of in the eastern part of North Carolina and you see a lot come up through wilmington or Cape Fear or up along the outer banks. Ive been through four or five of them myself. Here is what one resident of the Asheville Area pulled our robert ray. Listen to what he said. It has been an incredibly apocalyptic weekend for all of us here in asheville, North Carolina. The folks here are making it through, but we need help. There is almost no gas, theres almost almost no Cell Service. There is limited power. There is limited food. John when you are dealing with a hurricane devastated area in the eastern part of the state, its pretty flat land. So if you have roads that are blocking, its easy to get around them but up in the high mountains, getting things in and out is very difficult because you have bridges that are washed out, roads are blocked. How do you deal with the logistics there . We have a massive amount of helicopters. We have 22 helicopters currently working with us and i would like to think of the states of connecticut, maryland, ohio, ohio, florida, North Carolina, and New York that of Lotus Helicopters but a Ch 47 chinook which gives us a ton of those which is a heavy Lift Capability and we are setting up Rains Asheville as a base. They flew into the asheville airport. To the citizen that you interviewed, i would say help us on The Way. Help has been there. We had North Carolina National Guardsmen in asheville the night thAt The storm hit. They have been engaged with local Law Enforcement and Emergency Management officials and the helicopters have been flying and we have delivered to places like beech mountain, madison county, waynesville, and ive already mentioned ockham county. But not everyone is seeing that because as you said it is difficult to reach everywhere but please reiterate help is on The Way and we are there in the North Carolina National Guard will be there for our fellow citizens until the mission is finished. John folks in the Hardhit Area of the stakes can take comfort in the fact thAt The National Guard is on the job. Good luck with the work ahead. Thank you john. Sandra the busy hour continues and now moments from now we are awaiting a white House Press Briefing where we are waiting on response on a new Ice Report that we first reported here on America Reports on friday showing Tens Of Thousands of illegal immigrant criminals that could be currently walking The Streets here. Its a story we first brought you here. John. John Israels Ground invasion into lebanon appears imminent. How big of an escalation with that move be . Lieutenant general Keith Kellogg joins us Coming Up. Stay with us. This is an amazing opportunity. Its an opportunity to change the Middle East and eliminate the greatest source of Instability And Bloodshed throughout the entire region and that is iranian influence because i know so many of you have served our country honorably.
