KUALA LUMPUR: To help the people cope with the digital transformation in the new normal, the free daily 1GB Internet data provided to customers will be extended until July 31. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) informed that the decision was agreed upon by the five major telecommunications service providers, namely Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U-Mobile and Telekom Malaysia (TM). “This latest extension is given as an additional support to the people, courtesy of the telecommunication companies as the Covid-19 situation in the country is still not stable. “This is also to help schoolchildren who will be switching back to home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) after Aidilfitri as announced by the Ministry of Education recently,“ MCMC said in a statement here, today.
