Fresh vigor for business circle Posted : 2021-02-03 17:05 Expectations grow for new KCCI chairman SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won was chosen Monday as the new head of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). He will succeed incumbent Chairman Park Yong-maan after being confirmed at the chamber's general meeting later this month. This marks the first time that the KCCI will be led by a top executive from one of the country's four largest conglomerates ― Samsung, Hyundai Motor, SK and LG. Currently, it is the top business organization for lobbying the government, and is composed of 73 regional chambers of commerce representing 180,000 members ― from big businesses to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
