Freshman Duncan Leads Lee Women Over Shorter Thursday, December 17, 2020 Freshman Julia Duncan tallied 19 points and sophomore Haley Schubert followed with 16 in leading the Lee women's basketball team to a 72-53 road victory at Shorter University on Wednesday evening. The Lady Flames improved to 2-0 and expect to face a stronger challenge at Valdosta State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. "Any win on the road in the GSC is important," said Lee coach Marty Rowe after the victory. "I'm not sure we played to the high expectation level we have for our teams but give Shorter credit they're much improved and competed hard for 40 minutes.
