Fusarium in Wheat
News Reporter
Farmers that have wheat planted after a corn crop, they’re going to want to protect themselves from diseases like Fusarium. Kyle Strachila is a crop protection field sales representative for Bayer Crop Sciences. He says customers are proactively looking to Prosaro® fungicide, one of their products to manage this disease.
Strachila… “I've heard of guys in the last couple of years, starting to use Prosaro® as their preventative measures on almost every irrigated acre that they advise for, because the Fusarium disease is really prevalent in fields after a corn crop. So if a wheat crop is being grown after a corn crop, the chances are pretty high that Fusarium is present in the field, and a head scab outbreak in the field can completely decimate a crop.
