Galesburg Community Foundation to open 2021 Turnout Grant cycle Staff report GALESBURG — The Galesburg Community Foundation announced the opening of the 2021 Turnout Grant Cycle. The format of the 2021 Turnout Grant Cycle is different from previous years due to COVID-19 and offers a more focused and streamlined process for local nonprofits to apply. The Turnout Grant Cycle is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit or public charities, including churches, schools and government agencies serving Knox and Warren counties. Organizations should note the changes to this year’s Turnout Grant Cycle, including that they can apply for capacity, general operating or programmatic dollars for use in 2021. This year’s Turnout will be online only with no in-person presentations — a short video as detailed in the application is required to apply. As with past grant cycles, applications will be shared with donors and community stakeholders invested in the local nonprofit sector. Further, organizations applying to this grant cycle should note that this year’s grant program timeline is more streamlined than in the past, with the online application opening May 3, closing May 14 and awards being distributed by July 1. As with previous Turnout Grant cycles, requests will be fully funded with no partial funding awarded. Applications can be found at yourgcf.org/grants.
