Millennials probably started playing video games purely for fun. Mario, Dave, VCop2, NFS, etc. all of these were purely for fun and especially were reserved for the upper-middle-class households where they had the money to buy most of these games. When Generation Z came into the picture, the games changed. Modern Warfare, Counterstrike, FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer became the craze. Some households had Play Station, but most of them had computers. Fast forward to the current generation, the landscape has changed completely and if you add COVID to that, the gaming revolution began with gamers, live streaming, eSports being the new buzz words.
