General Medical Services Contract / Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) Contract

The Health & Social Care Board (HSCB) is seeking to enter into a full time contract for the provision of General Medical Services in Portadown, Co. Armagh under either a General Medical Services (GMS) Contract or an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) Contract. The HSCB welcome single or joint applications. Applications are also welcome from neighbouring GP Practices who may wish to operate an additional surgery in Portadown.
The current contractor is providing General Medical Services from Portadown Health Centre, premises which are owned by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The Practice has a current list size of 4,905 patients (Jan 21). The new contractor will be required to take the current Practice staff on transfer under The Service Provision Change (Protection of Employment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.
