Now doctors recommend that you eat a good sized meal before getting your shot and that you stay hydrated. For those who are scared of the vaccine, avoid caffeine because doctors say it can actually heighten your anxiety. These two tips should help keep you from getting lightheaded or even passing out after it's over, doctors say you should plan to not feel very well whether that means that you need to schedule it on a Friday if you don't work on the weekend or if you work on the weekend and you don't work on Monday scheduling it for Monday or if it means just making sure that you have to back up for child care or, you know, whatever your obligations are in life, I think that that's important. I'm told that getting symptoms and feeling bad after a vaccine is actually a normal response and is a sign that the vaccine is working in your body.
