Ghana School of Railways begins operation LISTEN The Ghana School of Railways and Infrastructure Development has started operations. The school, which is part of the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, offers only engineering courses. The first batch of students reported to the school on Friday, January 15, 2021. In 2021, the school is expected to admit some 300 students. Over the next four years, the school is looking to admit about 5,000 students. For years (2017-2021), the Minister of Railways Development, Joe Ghartey, spearheaded the establishment of the school. With the massive investments made in the railway sector by the Akufo-Addo government, the development of human resource capacity in the sector is expected to record a major boost.
