Share Empowering journalists to exercise their rights as key users of Access to Information (ATI) laws, UNESCO Accra office and DW Akademie have collaborated to strengthen the capacity of Ghanaian journalists in investigative journalism and digital safety. A total of 12 journalists were selected, out of 48 applications, to take part in a 3-week intensive training. The training aimed at investigative journalists working in sensitive contexts, while linking their work to the broader perspective of the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development. Although the participants have produced investigative reports in the past, they have not really exercised their right to access to information under the new Act. The training, therefore, has provided them with the basis to be involved in tracking the implementation of the Act.
