GLAR No Longer Using ‘Master’ to Describe Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Lansing’s multiple listing service (MLS) will now use the term “primary” to refer to the principle bedroom and bathroom in a home.
The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® will no longer use the term "master" to describe bedrooms and bathrooms in its online listings. Instead, Lansing’s multiple listing service (MLS) will now use the term “primary” to refer to the principle bedroom and bathroom in a home.  
In June, the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® began discussions to drop the term after some members expressed concerns that it could be perceived as racist or sexist.
