GFP president Vijai Sardesai said the NDA had “miserably failed” to protect Goa’s interests. PANAJI: The Goa Forward Party (GFP) quit the National Democratic Alliance on Tuesday saying that it is time to shake off the "divisiveness and despair" that the BJP-led government has created in Goa. In a letter to NDA national chairperson Amit Shah, the GFP president Vijai Sardesai said the NDA had “miserably failed” to protect Goa’s interests. The decision to quit the NDA was taken by the party’s state executive committee which met at the party headquarters on Gudi Padva, which is celebrated as the new year by Hindus.
