PANAJI, India – Helicopter tourist service in Goa will take off next season. The high-powered committee (HPC) for tourism infrastructure projects headed by chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday approved in principle the proposal made by Mumbai-based Pawan Hans helicopters to run the helicopter ride service in the state. Goa tourism development corporation chairman Nilesh Cabral, a member of the HPC, told TOI that Pawan Hans needs the time to set up the infrastructure in the state. Pawan Hans representatives made a presentation before the HPC members on Friday evening. The tentative fare offered by the company for helirides is Rs 220 to 250 per minute.
