A Lubbock church was vandalized this past Saturday (June 12). The assailants broke into, and extensively vandalized, the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church which is located in the 6000 block of 81st Street in southwest Lubbock. The photos of the damage were shown on various Facebook pages over the weekend. Get our free mobile app On their official Facebook page, the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church said, "Our prayers are with the individual(s) who desecrated our parish last night. But God is always good, and we thank so many people who have already asked how they can help." A GoFundMe was quickly started to help raise money to repair the damage to the church. As of 10:45pm on Sunday, June 13, $57,000 had already been raised. The GoFundMe has a goal of raising $75,000.
