A GOOD samaritan went above and beyond to ensure a family of geese crossed the road safely after a ‘horrifying’ incident saw more than a dozen birds killed. A kind-hearted mum alerted drivers after spotting a family of geese and goslings crossing the road in Mill Lane, Walney. The mum was collecting her daughter from nursery when she noticed the family of birds walking across the road. To prevent any accidents, the quick-thinker directed cars away from the geese so they could safely make it to the other side. She said: “I was on my way to collect my daughter from nursery (on foot) and I noticed the geese and goslings walking on the road.
