The Gore District Council adopted its 10-Year Plan at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, after deferring the meeting by a week because of a change to an Otama Water Scheme rate. But the council’s auditors, Deloitte, issued a qualified opinion on the plan, saying the council does not have sufficient reliable information about the condition of the assets in the water supply and wastewater networks, many of which are nearing the end of their useful lives.
