Mayor Gregg Hull and District 3 City Councilor Bob Tyler are sponsoring resolutions to create of a new city Quality of Life Center in the Enchanted Hills area. The existing property would be divided and used for a new branch library and a multi-purpose space for youth and adult recreation programs, community meetings, remote animal adoptions, voting, public-safety outreach and a community art gallery/performing arts space, among other uses. “Years ago, when I lived in Enchanted Hills, it was apparent then that the area was under-served, and the distance to library and recreational opportunities was simply too far away,” Hull said. “I am excited that the city’s strong financial position and property availability in a desirable location have come together at the right time. This investment in quality of life amenities will help Rio Rancho remain a nationally recognized best place to live, and will undoubtedly be enjoyed by residents.”
