Grand Forks moves to push remaining Ambassador residents out


Grand Forks moves to push remaining Ambassador residents out
Grand Forks inspectors deemed the Ambassador Motel unsafe to occupy last week, but several residents have remained because they've got nowhere else to go, or because they're still unsure where they'll head next. City Attorney Dan Gaustad asked a Grand Forks District Court judge to issue a restraining order that would require the motel be vacated.

Grand Forks city staff have moved to bar people from continuing to reside at the Ambassador Motel.
City Attorney Dan Gaustad on Thursday asked a Grand Forks District Court judge to issue a temporary restraining order that would require the immediate evacuation of the motel, which sits on the 2000 block of South Washington Street. The case was assigned to Judge Jay Knudson.
