Every year children, adults and pancake lovers gather for the Great Wallingford Pancake Race. Resisting the urge to eat them the people of Wallingford race with the pancakes balanced in their frying pans and attempt to not let them fall flat on the floor. Each year a fancy dress theme is chosen, last year’s theme was Toy Story and this year Wabbit will be bringing the fun. As the Corn Exchange Theatre is closed at the moment and the Sinodun Players are unable to perform any plays, they have been seeking out other acts to come to Wallingford. Next week the famous “Wabbit of the West” will be wobbling around the town tossing pancakes to raise some money for the theatre as well as the local Toy Bank.
