Greater Napanee "Total Burn Ban" changing to "Partial Burn Ban" thanks to damp spring

Small campfires will soon be allowed again in Greater Napanee.
Effective this Friday, April 30, Greater Napanee Emergency Services is downgrading the current “Total Burn Ban” to a “Partial Burn Ban” thanks to the damp spring weather.
A “Partial Burn Ban” will allow residents to light and maintain a campfire of no more than 60 cm in width by 60 cm in height, used for cooking, warmth and/ or recreational enjoyment.
Open-Air burning is only permitted two hours before sunset until two hours after sunrise. Beginning April 30, this means that fires can be started at 6:00 p.m. and must be extinguished no later than 8:00 a.m.
