Representative image GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Authority on Thursday allotted as many as 44 industrial plots, including a 20-acre land parcel in Knowledge Park 5 to Mumbai’s Hiranandani group for setting up the region’s first data centre. The company is expected to invest about Rs 6,700 crore and generate employment opportunities for some 6,000 people, the officials said. “The allotment for the country’s first data centre in Knowledge Park 5 was done under the ‘Invest UP’s Ease of Doing Business’ policy. The super mega investment has been fast-tracked by the UP government,” said Narendra Bhooshan, CEO of GNIDA. The centre to be set up by Hiranandani group firm Yotta Infrastructure is expected to be a state-of-the-art campus in NCR and the first hyper-scale data facility in the region known for its cluster of multinational enterprises and startups.
