Green Party supports Bolton sixth form after cuts to bursaries

BOLTON’S Green Party have said that “students deserve better” after college bursaries were cut.
The party has responded to the report by The Bolton News last week that nearly 900 students at Bolton’s Sixth Form College are set to have their bursary cut due to a funding crisis.
The college’s principal said due to both the pandemic and the school’s expansion, the 893 students who receive a bursary are set to have this cut due to funds running out.
The college, with MP for Bolton South East Yasmin Qureshi, is calling on the government to provide an uplift in funding.
