A generous Greenock dad hit the ground running for the entire month of January in aid of a local good cause. Scotrail engineer Kevin Robertson donned his running shoes to clock up five kilometres each day to raise funds for Ardgowan Hospice. The big-hearted 37-year-old more than trebled his initial target of £300 and was delighted to hand over the terrific total of £955 to the compassionate place of care. On hand to congratulate Kevin were hospice employees Elaine Hansen and Michele Sweeney. Kevin said: "It was a long month not without its challenges but I am so chuffed to have completed it.
