The pandemic has obviously taken a toll on the local economy, but some important construction projects have continued, including several in the Bull Street corridor between Forsyth Park and Victory Drive. Bull Street is Savannah’s “civic spine,” a term I first heard used by architect Christian Sottile. The combination of businesses, houses of worship, schools, nonprofits, governmental buildings and homes reflects the rich history of the Thomas Square neighborhood.
