Officials with U.S. Food and Drug Administration have given approval to Hyperfine Research to begin including artificial intelligence software in the company’s portable magnetic resonance imaging units. The six-year-old company got FDA approval in February 2020 to bring its Swoop portable MRI to market. Now, artificial intelligence software can be included with the device, according to Prantik Kundu, a senior scientist in research and development at Hyperfine.
