KARACHI: The Gulberg Champions Trophy, organized by Gulberg Hockey Club, will commence today under the auspices of Karachi Hockey Association. The event, which will be played at the KHA Sports Complex astroturf, will be competed between four teams including Gulberg Hockey Club, Rabbani Hockey Club, Baldia Hockey Club and Nazimabad Mujahid Hockey Club. The tournament will be inaugurated by KHA patron-in-cheif Major General (retd) Tariq Haleem Suri who is also a Sitara-e-Imtiaz recipient. Asim Khan will be the organizing secretary of the event while Imtiaz-ul-Hassan will perform his professional duties as the umpire manager. Nadeem, Asad Zaheer are included in the technical officials panel.
