Hadley town election to feature no contests Hadley Town Hall GAZETTE FILE PHOTO By SCOTT MERZBACH HADLEY — In what may be viewed as an unusual circumstance for Hadley, no contested races will appear on the ballot for the next town election on April 13. Though there are candidates for all positions, except a three-year position on the Board of Health held by Emma Dragon, none will feature competition unless an active write-in candidate joins the field. Nomination forms were due to the town clerk’s office Tuesday. Incumbents who are seeking reelection include Joyce Chunglo for a three-year seat on the Select Board, Michael P. Sarsynski Jr. for a five-year term on the Planning Board, Humera M. Fasihuddin and Paul Phifer for three-year seats on the School Committee, Randall E. Izer for a one-year term as moderator, Alison Donta-Venman for a three-year seat as library trustee, Jeffery Mish for a three-year term on the Board of Assessors, Sheila Konieczny for a one-year term as Elector under the Oliver Smith Will and Steven N. Higgins for a three-year seat on the Park Commission.
