Students at CQUniversity have celebrated the end of over-caffeinated, late nights at a graduation ceremony in Mackay.
Almost 150 Mackay students graduated on Tuesday, with nine graduates completing their Vocational Education Training, one finished a PHD and 138 took home either a bachelor or master degree.

Speaking at the ceremony at Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre, Chancellor John Abbott challenged the graduates to maintain a commitment to lifelong learning.
“Challenge yourself at all times, contribute to the communities of which you are a part,” he said.
There were 25 students graduating from a Bachelor of Nursing, five from a Master of Nursing, and 24 across early, primary and secondary education.
