At least eighteen families living in the two mid-size apartments and four independent houses near Rachenahalli lake in North Bengaluru are facing the worst time of their lives.
The buildings that they call their homes have been identified as encroachments. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (
BBMP) has already slapped a notice to raze a portion of these buildings, which are sitting on the lake land. The shocked residents insist that they built their houses only after following all due processes.
