Haringey buses in 1985 This was uploaded to YouTube today... a montage of bus videos from the area around Ducketts Common and then Crouch End, before filming at Hornsey (pre New River Village), a couple on Turnpike Lane itself, and then a few final shots on the corner of Turnpike Lane station. The filmer then continued on to Kings Cross. Of note is the vintage of the rather bizarre junction layout at Frobisher/Green Lanes. That junction feels like a modern layout to me, but here it is, just the same, in 1985. The first 8 minutes are locally relevant. Drivers didn’t half thrash the proverbials off the buses of the time!
