PIGEON — Aaron Sowles scored 23 points and the Hatchets improved to 2-0 on the season Friday night as the Bad Axe boys basketball team held off rival Laker for a 59-46 road win.
The rivalry between the schools provided intensity from the opening whistle as the two teams squared off in what proved to be a physical matchup, one filled with battles under the hoop and mad scrambles for loose balls.
