As we approach the middle of 2021, those living in Southeast Asia will know to expect a season of dry weather with sweltering temperatures.
Also, there is the distinct possibility that such weather conditions could produce the dreaded haze that has plagued so many in the region almost on a yearly basis – some years much worse than others.
While it's still early days, meteorological data provided by the ASEAN Specialized Meteorological Center (ASMC) has forecasted more days with dry conditions and the appearance of more hotspots.
